Don’t Be Left in the Dark During the Total Solar Eclipse!

Sponsored by Boeing

The total solar eclipse occurs on Monday, April 8 and NVC will be in the direct viewing path.

We anticipate a large number of visitors to our campus affecting traffic, parking, and all services. The event is sponsored by Boeing.

For the safety of all students and employees, it was determined this would be a good day to work or learn remotely so we can continue services to students and the community.

  • All buildings on campus will be closed.

  • We will have no classes on campus, including evening classes.

    • Faculty can determine how best to conduct their classes, such as online or remote. For questions, faculty can contact their chair or dean.

    • Staff will work remotely, unless performing a specific role with the event. For questions, staff can contact their supervisor.

  •  Faculty and staff who would like to come to campus to view the total solar eclipse will need to work with their supervisor, chair or dean.

  • There may be an opportunity to volunteer for this event. Please watch for more information by email.

Thank you for helping us create a good experience for visitors to NVC! If you would like to be a volunteer for the event, go here: alamo.edu/nvc/calendar/2024/april/nvclipse
