Congrats to Doreen Abrams – New Director of Career Services

Congratulations to Doreen Abrams. She was recently selected the new Northwest Vista College director of Career Services. 

Doreen began as an NVC full-time Student Success employee in 2017 with the Career and Transfer Services. Her former titles includes Student Success specialist and senior advisor.

Doreen became an Advising Team lead in 2024, planning and coordinating student advising programs, projects and processed, leading career services and partnering with transfer university partners. Doreen said she has a passion for helping students discover their path and reach their goals.

Doreen’s new role as director, includes directing, leading, and implementing college career services, including the AlamoEXPERIENCE Experiential Learning Model, staff supervision, existing and new career development programming, and daily operation of the college career operations.

Doreen has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development from UIW, and a Masters of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from UIW.
