Two groups of currently-enrolled Dual Credit students from Communication Arts High School recently toured Northwest Vista College for the first time.
Julie Boerm director of NVC’s Dual Credit High School program, said “We want our Dual Credit students to feel more connected with NVC. The tour had several stops including the library, tutoring labs and getting college IDs. Students loved the tour and wished they would have done the tour earlier in the fall. We are hoping to have similar tours for future Dual Credit students coming this fall.”
Julie added it definitely took plenty of coordination in order to make the tours a great success thanks to: Vista Central tour guides, academic deans, Dual Credit Team members, library staff, Student Activities staff and the tutoring lab staff.
Shellie Malik from Communication Arts said, “We loved the tour and hope NVC will continue to offer tours like these to all of our Dual Credit students.”
