[image 1]Northwest Vista College’s first homecoming, dubbed “Celebrate Vista” proved to be an exciting week of activities for the campus that engaged employees and students.

The UPS store (well known for its brown trucks) is slated to open a location at the Texas Persimmon building (across from Mountain Laurel Hall) in late November.

Northwest Vista College has simplified a way for students, employees and community members to provide feedback through a revised online form at Alamo.edu/nvc/Feedback.

[image 1]While Northwest Vista College slows down with fewer students in the summer, another part ramps up – the children’s programs organized by Workforce Education & Training.

This year’s presidential and local elections are a hot topic at Northwest Vista College.

About 100 guests enjoyed the opening reception for “Personal Journey,” an official art exhibit of the city’s “Fotoseptiembre” celebration on Sept. 21.

[image 1]Finding the cure for diseases, producing safer food or creating electric vehicles will all involve nanotechnology in the future.

“Why our Students Need Learning Communities” was the topic of discussion from speakers from Skagit Valley College, which has been incorporating learning communities in its classrooms since 1986.
