A variety of media came out to cover Northwest Vista College’s eclipse event on April 8. The event, which was sponsored by Boeing, included a garden of telescopes, scientists, college professors, college students, elementary and middle schools, food trucks, music, other entertainment, and the Scobee Education Center and Planetarium. The San Antonio Peace Center at NVC recently received some media hits from the San Antonio Express-News and La Prensa Texas. On Jan. 29, the Peace Center celebrated its 2023 Peace Laureates (its three founders) and the launch of Compassionate USA, a virtual video series, that is being championed by San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg.
