Librarian Wins Scholarship to Attend Conference

Kudos to NVC’s newest librarian, Rose Rodriguez, for winning a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Joint Conference for Librarians of Color (JCLC) September 26-30 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ten different library associations provided scholarship funds to give library employees the chance to network and participate in professional development on topics surrounding race, accessibility, and leadership.

NVC Partners with Business for Archaeology Field School Project

Starting in January 2019, Northwest Vista College Archaeology students won’t have to wait until their senior year of undergraduate school to take part in their first excavation dig.
