Congratulations to Gary Bowling, who is now a director at Student Success, overseeing Student Development (SDEV) and EDUC 1300 classes.
Through a grassroots effort, Northwest Vista College faculty members are developing models to broaden and improve academic advising for students.
[image 1]They came, they helped, they braved the heat and they helped NVC students find their way to a class, the bookstore, the library and other campus locations.
The countdown has begun. We have a little less than a month to plan for the on site review team from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges or also known as SACS-COC. This is the time to “put our best foot forward.”
[image 1]Several Northwest Vista College leaders participated in a crisis media training session on Friday, Aug. 27 in an effort to communicate effectively with the media and the public in times of crisis.
San Antonio's largest chamber – the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce – toured our campus and visited with NVC President Dr. Ric Baser on Monday.
Nine Northwest Vista College students, including one student currently attending Palo Alto but planning to transfer to NVC in the fall, have been gaining hands-on experience in problem solving, technical skills and presentations during the College2Career paid internship program this summer at Nationwide.
[image 1]The saying goes it takes a village to raise a child…. well it took a village to increase our enrollment numbers for this fall semester.
