NVC Leadership Message
Robin Lund, Dean for Student Success – Advising and Enrollment
On Dec. 13, 2022, the Alamo College District Board of Trustees approved the expansion of the AlamoPROMISE program. With this expansion, AlamoPROMISE will now serve 73 San Antonio area high schools; offering the promise of tuition-free college for approximately 20,500 additional high school seniors.
With the initial launch of Promise in 2019, NVC partnered with John Jay and Holmes high schools as inaugural members of the program. Stevens, Marshall, and Chavez Excel Academy were quickly added in 2021. This mid-year expansion will welcome the remaining high schools within Northside Independent School District (NISD) to the Promise family and we are elated to see this opportunity brought to all students within Northside.
