Northwest Vista College instructor, Dr. Robert Marbut, is a longtime friend and colleague of Retired General Colin Powell. The picture below shows Dr. Marbut and Gen. Powell in 1989 at the Day of the Panama invasion – they were both White House Fellows (different classes).
Dr. Marbut says, “he was lucky and blessed to have worked with him (Gen. Powell) on a handful of projects. He was an amazing American, and an even better friend.”
Dr. Marbut recently attended Gen. Powells’ private family and friends wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
