Northwest Vista College congratulates Dr. Lisa McGoldrick as the new director of Community Collaborations.
Lisa will be responsible for developing and leading cooperative and collaborative working relationships among corporate, state, national, and university constituencies to promote learning opportunities and scholarships for students. Additionally, Lisa will develop specific outreach initiatives to increase student engagement in career-related advising and activities, such as facilitating mentorship, internships and job shadowing.
Lisa will facilitate partnerships between NVC and entities in the service areas to enhance the college presence and student success, including leading opportunities for involvement of community members in NVC’s Quality Enhancement Plan, focus groups and other assessments.
Lisa has 20 years of experience in education, having served in many roles from teaching students all the way from elementary to the high school level and various roles at the college level. Most recently, Lisa worked as the executive assistant to the NVC president, where she lead projects, such as commencement, Employee Development Day, convocation and 4DX.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Miami University in Ohio, a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction/English Language Arts from the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, and a EdD in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University in Minneapolis.
When Lisa is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her three daughters Bailey, Ava, and Sophia, competing in ballroom dance, and traveling to new places.
