“My family and I would like to express our sincerest appreciation to Officer M. Elizondo, of your department, for her professional handling of our suspicious activity case presented to her on 08 Jul 2014. She heard our request for help, analyzed the situation, and provided outstanding support throughout our ordeal. She provided an escort for our daughter to and from class for the last remaining four days of class, allowing our daughter to complete her course without incident. Officer Elizondo's presence was enough to deter any disruption to the Northwest Vista campus.
As a parent, it is sometimes difficult to deal with the fact that we can't fix everything. It's often uncomfortable to pull up the courage to ask for help, especially from a police officer. I thank God that Officer Elizondo was that officer. There are not enough words to express our gratitude that she went over and above, and kept our daughter safe when we couldn't.
Please accept our sincerest thank you for all that your department does for the Northwest Vista campus. To the parents, families and students, it's far more than 'just doing your job.' In this case, it became personal, and ended with a positive result. Although our situation is far from over, the peace of mind Officer Elizondo provided at a critical time is great comfort for our family.”
