The Northwest Vista College Dual Credit program is proving strong in the NISD community. Here are some recent happenings from the program:
Holmes High School
NISD Holmes High School Dual Credit teacher for Cybersecurity courses was proud of her dual credit students that just earned their certifications and proudly sent photos.
Dual Credit Training
The NVC Dual Credit department recently conducted an informational session and training for high school administrators, counselors, liaisons, and academic deans.
During the session, participants learned about the benefits of dual credit programs and how they can better support students in earning college credits while still in high school. The training provided valuable information on course offerings, process for registration, academic advising, academic requirements and teacher credentialing information to ensure their teachers have the required credentials.
This collaboration and training aimed to prepare high school staff to support students effectively in pursuing dual credit opportunities. The initiative highlights the importance of working together to provide students with opportunities and quality education options.
