On Tuesday, July 22, Northwest Vista will host its second annual Teaching with Technology Festival — TeachTechFest2014 at 8 am in Manzanillo Hall, 2nd floor.
This year’s theme is tied to the NVC strategic plan — Teachers, Learners & Technology: Information Literacy. All faculty in all disciplines are invited.
The event will feature a super guest speaker, vendors, lunch, door prizes, roundtable sessions with online students, classroom ideas, open discussions, faculty interactivity, sessions geared toward STEM disciplines, and lots of timely and interesting ideas you can use in your own courses right away.
It is designed for faculty with different levels of experience and comfort with technology in education. Part-time adjunct and NVC faculty who are current employees (teaching summer and/or fall 2014) are eligible for a $31.31/hour stipend.
Some of the comments made by last year’s attendees:
“One of the best conferences I’ve ever attended!”
“I left this event feeling like I could really make some substantial differences that would benefit my students.”
“Overall, this was a GREAT conference.”
