Congrats to Angela Cavazos-Barajas in Student Success. She was presented the Patriotic Employer award today by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
This award was presented by Retired Master Sergeant Kerry Reyna on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Angela was nominated by her former student/ former work study Joseph Unger.
The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
