In the spirit of goodwill this upcoming holiday season, Northwest Vista College Alumni and Friends are participating in the global day of giving known as #GivingTuesday.
NVC Alumni and Friends ask that you consider supporting Vista students by making a donation to the Alumni Scholarship on or before Nov. 29.
Since its establishment, the NVC Alumni Scholarship has helped two veterans as well as a student pursuing a degree in nursing. A donation of any amount goes directly to helping future students focus and succeed in their studies.
Held the Tuesday following Thanksgiving in the U.S., #GivingTuesday is celebrated world-wide and officially kicks off the holiday and end-of-year charitable season for many organizations. The collaborative movement has become a social media phenomenon with people using the hashtag #GivingTuesday to show their support and participation.
Those participating are encouraged to share and mention their involvement that day with the hashtag #GivingTuesday posted to their personal and college social media pages. Make a pledge by mail, email or in person by downloading the NVC Alumni Scholarship donation form here.
A gift made between now and Nov. 29 will count towards the NVC Alumni and Friends goal to raise scholarship funds on #GivingTuesday.
