The President’s Office Business Council Welcomes New Members!

POBC’s mission is to help create opportunities for success at Northwest Vista College through collaboration, partnerships, mentorship, marketing and financial support. Formerly called the NVC Business Council, it has a shared philosophy with the Alamo Colleges District which includes providing life-changing gifts that help students come in, stay in, and achieve their dreams of a college education.

Aisha Thomas

Aisha Thomas is an organizational training, development & leadership consultant and professional coach. This award-winning executive trainer aims to improve the performance, resilience and diverse talent management skills of leaders. Her expertise also extends to staff development. She has excelled in multiple leadership roles, managed numerous high performing teams, and developed personnel from the first tier to executive level.

As a member of the United States Air Force, she has proudly served her country during peacetime and global conflicts. Aisha’s solution based approach has been recognized for improving organizational breakdowns and practices. She also is a staple in her community by developing the next generation of leaders, today’s youth. Aisha has reached thousands nationwide and continues to transform multiple industries and individuals one solution at a time. 

 

Dr. Eddie J. Kirby

Dr. Eddie J. Kirby is an experienced senior level leader with extensive experience in both Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurial start-ups. Dr. Kirby is currently the director of Digital Experience with CPS Energy and leads a team of digital experts responsible for digital strategy, ideation, and development of new products, services or capabilities which enhance and elevate the digital experience for, employees and partners.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Kirby held the position of director of Enterprise Information Technology Business Applications at CPS Energy and manager of Strategic Research & Innovation. Dr. Kirby’s research and innovation efforts included working with internal and external partners through implementation of solutions for the Electric Vehicle (EV) research portfolio, electrification of transportation initiatives which included management and oversight of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and electric vehicle research.

Dr. Kirby proudly served in the US Air Force on assignments abroad and domestic as a senior training instructor for Elite Security Forces Teams and Elite Security Forces Group.
