Alan Alexis Galvez is the new part-time student service specialist and home school liaison for the Dual Credit Office at Northwest Vista College.
Alan is thrilled to be working for the Alamo Colleges where he first began his college education. He has since transferred to The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) to pursue his Bachelor of Arts in Communication and has entered his first year of his graduate program as a candidate for a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, with the concentration in Higher Education Administration.
Alan also serves as a graduate assistant for the Office of Student Activities at UTSA where he primarily focuses on the functions and programming of UTSA’s 400 student organizations.
This summer, Alan is also doing an internship with the Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion at UTSA. There, he contributes to the marketing and programming that is focused towards multicultural organizations and the LGBTQ+ community at UTSA.
Alan understands the importance of student success and student involvement. He hopes to pursue his career within the college systems as a student affairs professional where he inspires to be a dean of students.
