Northwest Vista College invites students, employees, alumni, donors, media, board members and friends of NVC President Jackie Claunch to send messages via NVC's social media channels honoring her contribution to education in Texas.
[image 1]On April 8, Northwest Vista students were privileged to visit and listen to poet, author and philanthropist Sandra Cisneros as a part of the annual Sandra Cisneros and Trinidad Sanchez Fiction Awards in Voice, Poetics, and Mastery.
Sharman Castillo’s success story at Northwest Vista College didn’t take the traditional path.

[image 1]Visit Vista Preview is NVC’s campus visit event for prospective students. On April 5, Northwest Vista College staff and students welcomed a record number of 103 students, plus their families and/or friends who were here to support them.
[image 1]Northwest Vista College joined three other Alamo Colleges in the consolidated scholarship application judging event held Friday, April 4, at the Workforce Center of Excellence.
For the fourth year in a row, the Public Relations team conducted the “Why a Degree: Writing Contest” as part of the degree completion campaign to enhance student and employee perception about the importance of completing a degree or certificate at Northwest Vista College.
One very lucky NVC student is on his way to the new Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the Southwest School of Art (SSA) in San Antonio. NVC student Juan Zavala-Castro will be attending the new private college for free starting in August!

In addition to celebrating Earth Day at NVC on April 17, we also have some other activities scheduled to help sustain our focus on the Earth for more than a day.
