Brown is Coming to NVC!

The UPS store (well known for its brown trucks) is slated to open a location at the Texas Persimmon building (across from Mountain Laurel Hall) in late November.

Construction is supposed to start on Nov. 7 and should take about three weeks to complete the 700-square-feet store. The branch will be a full-fledge UPS store that will handle shipping, printing, faxing and notary services. Its services will be available for the campus community and not just for college business. For example, employees and students will be able to take care of personal needs there as well.

Fernando Aristeguieta, who was awarded the five-year UPS contract with the Alamo Colleges, said UPS locations will also be at San Antonio, Northeast Lakeview, Palo Alto and St. Philip’s colleges.

Fernando added that employees are currently being trained for the NVC store with the hopes of hiring additional work study employees in the future. The store hours will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
