[image 1]Congratulations to Kelly Blanco, coordinator of Student Leadership and Activities, who was awarded the Student Heart Award.
Hundreds of NVC students gathered May 3 at the Marriott hotel on Wiseman Blvd to take part in the Accolade Soirée banquet. The event recognizes students who take part in clubs, activities and intramural sports.
Students gave the award to Kelly for her dedication to student engagement. Most students in the Banquet Committee who voted for Kelly were not directly involved in clubs led by her, however they still worked with Kelly as she assisted them or guided them.
[image 2]NVC Rec Sports gave out two $500 scholarships to Clifford Wallace of the NVC men's basketball team and to Emily Muro of the NVC women's basketball team.
