[image 1]It's Destination College Week and NVC President Dr. Baser invited San Antonio Mayor Ivy R. Taylor and college and university presidents to discuss education opportunities for residents in San Antonio and surrounding communities.
Scholarship donors, members of the Friends of the Arts at Northwest Vista College (FANs) and NVC Business Council members enjoyed artistic creations, food and drinks, flipbooks and a performance by the NVC Dance Repertory Ensemble at the Palmetto Center for the Arts on April 30.
At Northwest Vista College, the majority of our new students are considered “Gen Z” or those who were born between 1995 to 2000 and are just now entering college.
This semester has literally flown by and our commencement exercises are slated for Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. I hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Northwest Vista College's Ron Wojnar and three of his Digital Video & Cinema Productions students were recently mentioned in an article posted by the San Antonio Film Society. NVC librarians Kristin Johnson and Linda Reeves recently presented in Houston at the annual Texas Library Association Conference about its involvement in the Assessment in Action (AiA) Project with Our Lady of the Lake University and representatives of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).

A team of Northwest Vista College employees recently presented several different presentations at the fourth annual District Student Success Summit on April 8 at Northeast Lakeview.
