Congratulations to the NVC Drama department. At the annual Alamo Theatre Arts Council Awards presentation on Oct. 15 at the Empire Theatre in downtown San Antonio, NVC Drama’s production of “Grease” took home nine awards for Excellence in:

- Direction (Tim Hedgepeth)
- Set Design (Todd Deaver)
- Sound Design (Todd Deaver)
- Costume Design (Michelle Pietri, Guest Artist)
- Choreography (Courtni Mercer, Guest Artist)
- Musical Direction (Andrew Hendley, Guest Artist)
- Supporting Actress (2)
Northwest Vista College’s “Grease” swept the college and university division, winning more awards than any institution. The San Antonio Express-News also featured NVC and its success here.
